No account
No sign-up, no username. Your figures stay on your iPhone, behind Face ID or its passcode, and go to iCloud only if you turn it on for a space or share one.
No bank connection
You enter your expenses or import your statements and receipts. Northstar connects to no bank and never moves money.
On your own or as a couple
Invite your partner through iCloud: you keep the same budget, each on your own iPhone.
On pace
A guide, not a judgment.
The Northstar Score compares your spending with your own budgets and goals, out of 100. At 90 and above, the month is on pace; below that, a plain sentence tells you what to adjust.
It is not a credit score.

Your finances work offline. iCloud and Apple Intelligence are optional. Northstar has no ads or advertising trackers and sends nothing to the developer. Depending on how you installed the app and on your iOS settings, Apple may share technical diagnostics with the developer.
